In one week the Navajo Nation Council will have a special session to consider the Northeastern Arizona Indian Water Rights Settlement Agreement as proposed by Stanley Pollack, attorney at Navajo Department of Justice (NDOJ).
TAKE ACTION NOW:
1. Tell your council delegate(s) to VOTE NO on the Settlement Agreement (Legislation No. 0422-10).

The Navajo people have the right to know that NDOJ is waiving and releasing claim to vital elements of our sovereign Nation.
Pollack and the Navajo Water Rights Commission are not informing our people about the dire consequences of this Settlement Agreement. Aside from the acre-feet of water that falls critically short of our current need, the Settlement ends our rights to the waters within the Four Sacred Mountains.
Pollack is wrongly connecting our right to water with the need for waterlines by telling leaders that they will get pipelines to their communities if they give up their water rights forever.
The construction of waterlines should not mean the surrender of the birth rite of future generations.
Water is life.
